麻の葉は魔除けや健やかな成長、という願いが込められていて、DNAは連綿と受け継がれていくものの象徴と思っていまして、何か、私の大好きな日本や空気や世界が続いていくといいなあ、という気持ちで作りました。

今朝方、オープンチャットを始めるということをお知らせしたんですけれども、ご覧くださった皆様、本当にありがとうございます。 ずっとやりたいと思っていたことができて、ちょっとほっとしてます。 私のペースでいろいろとお知らせしたりとか、交流していきたいと思っているので、よろしくお願いします。 


今日、もちスラさんが素敵な記事を上げられていました。みんなでサブスタックを盛り上げていこうっていう内容だったんですけれども、この記事を読んで、私に何ができるかなって考えました。

まずは、お祭りに参加して、noteでサブスタック面白いよ！というのを書こうと思っています。そのうえで、世のクリエイターの皆さんにお伝えしたいなと思っていることがあって。


それはですね、このサブスタック、クリエイターにとってものすごくいいプラットフォームなんですよ。 


私は絵を作るし、音楽も作るし、自分で歌ったりとか、あと自分で文字書いたりとかしてて、たくさんあげたい作品があるんですけど、自分があげたいと思った作品で今まであげられなかったもの、とりあえずないんです。


音楽も、動画も、語りも歌も、ここではまるっと一つのアカウントの中であげられるんですよ。 さらに、ライブ配信、オープンチャット、メルマガと配信手段も実に手厚い。


だから、他のSNSみたいに、絵なら絵のアカウント、音楽なら音楽のアカウントっていう風に分けなくて済むんです。これってすごいことで、ものを作る人間にとって、ちゃんと作品を展示できるんですよ。作品が流れていかないから。パブリケーションちゃんと整えて、ホームページのような形にしたら、ちゃんとそこに作品を分類分けして、積み上げて展示していくことができるんですよね。 


さらに、投稿後の初速はゆったりだけど、長く長く後伸びする。作品がずっと何らかの形で誰かのもとに届くんですよ。現に、先月上げた投稿なのに、毎日いいねがちゃんとついているものがあったりするんです。これ、他のSNSだと考えられないことなんですよね。


こんなすごい機能があるのに、私ここで、そんなにたくさんクリエイターさんに出会えてないんです。 もちろんいらっしゃるんです。アートの方も音楽の方も、元々の知り合いの方もいますし、ちゃんといるんですけれども、音楽とか、歌とかアートとかやってらっしゃる方、世の中にたくさんたくさんたくさんいると思うのに、このサブスタックで出会えていないというか、あまり存在を感じることができないのがすごいもったいなくて、 なんとかこう広めたいなって思ってるんですよね。


なので、何ができるのかはわからないんですけど、何か外から人を連れてこられないかなって思ってます。


年も年ですし、体もガタガタですし、言っちゃうと、結構重めの貧血を患ってまして、毎日息も絶え絶えで、創作活動もほぼほぼ寝ながらやってるんですけど、何とかサブスタック広めたいので頑張ってみようかと。


ここはクリエイターにとって息がしやすいと思うんです、正直。


私、コミュ障の引きこもりの陰キャでびびりですけど。 サブスタック発のクリエイターっていう風になれたらいいのかなっていうのをちょっと考えてます。 


まあ、サブスタはぼちぼち広まっていくとは思うんですけれども、自分の作品を展示したい人、置きたい人たちにとっては、こんなにいい場所はないので、どう頑張っていいのかわかんないんですけど、ま、とにかく私にできることをやっていきたいと思います。 ので、これからも見守っていてくださると嬉しいです。

Earlier this morning, I announced that I would be starting an Open Chat. Thank you so much to everyone who took a look. I'm honestly relieved that I was finally able to do something I had wanted to do for such a long time. I'd like to share updates and connect with people at my own pace, so I hope you'll join me on the journey.


Today, Mochisura posted a wonderful article. It was about bringing more energy and excitement to Substack together, and after reading it, I found myself wondering what I could do to help.


For starters, I'm planning to join the festival and write a note about how much fun Substack is. Beyond that, there's something I'd really like to tell creators everywhere.


The thing is, Substack is an incredibly good platform for creators.


I make art, I make music, I sing, and I write. I have so many different kinds of work that I want to share, and so far, there hasn't really been anything I've wanted to post that I couldn't.


Music, videos, spoken content, songs—everything can live together under a single account here. On top of that, there are livestreams, Open Chats, newsletters, and many different ways to connect with people.


Because of that, I don't have to separate everything into different accounts the way I would on other social media platforms—one account for art, another for music, and so on. That's actually a remarkable thing. For creators, it means you can truly exhibit your work. Your creations don't simply disappear into a feed. If you take the time to organize your publication and shape it like a personal website, you can categorize your work, build it up over time, and display it properly.


What's more, while posts may start slowly, they continue to grow over a long period of time. Your work keeps finding its way to people. In fact, I still have posts from last month that receive likes every single day. That's something I can hardly imagine happening on most other social media platforms.


And yet, despite all these amazing features, I haven't actually met that many creators here.


Of course, they do exist. I've met artists, musicians, and people I already knew before joining. They're certainly here. But considering how many people in the world create music, sing, make art, and produce creative work, I feel like their presence on Substack is still much smaller than it could be. Or perhaps it's simply that I haven't been able to find them yet. Either way, it feels like such a missed opportunity, and it makes me want to help spread the word.


So while I don't really know what I can do yet, I've been thinking about whether I can somehow bring more people here from outside.


I'm not exactly young anymore, and my body is pretty worn out. To be completely honest, I also struggle with fairly severe anemia. Most days I feel short of breath, and I do much of my creative work while lying down. Even so, I want to do what I can to help Substack grow.


Honestly, I think this is a place where creators can breathe more easily.


I'm shy, introverted, socially awkward, and easily intimidated.


But sometimes I wonder if I could become a creator who grew out of Substack itself.


I think Substack will gradually become more popular over time anyway. But for people who want a place to display their work and give it a home, I truly believe there are very few places as good as this one. I still don't know exactly what I should do, but for now, I want to focus on doing whatever I can.

So if you'd continue to watch over me, I'd be very grateful.

朝の画像作品として、今、「名もなき粒子が胸を穿つ」というシリーズを展開しているんですけれども、こちらのタイトルが、今朝出したものでちょうど15タイトルになりました。 


同じタイトルの中でも重複して作品出しているのとかあるんですけれど、さっき数えたらちょうど15とキリのいい数字になっていたので、 私の朝出している画像の作り方についてお話ししようかなと思います。 


とはいっても、何か参考になることがあるかどうかはわからないです。あくまで私独自の作り方ですし、ミッドジャーニーのsrefやムードボードは公開する気はないので、 同じものが作れるかどうかはわからないんですけれども、こういう作り方をしているっていうのをお話しできたらいいなと思います。

これは何を描きたかったかというと、もう本当に理系寄りの内容なんです。 その理系寄りのエトセトラと日本の独自の文化というか、和柄とか、植物とか、そういうものに込められた意味でどこかつながっているもの、そのつながりを作品にしてたりとか、あとはその一つ一つの現象や、仕組みや、微生物の生態だったり、そういうものを私なりに紐解いて、私の描きたい要素を作品の中に込めてたりとかしています。


私の場合、まず最初にテーマがあって、描きたいものがあって、で、そのテーマについて、仕組みが自分の中でもはっきりとわかっているものだった場合は、もうすぐにイメージが自分の中で決まるんです。


で、そのイメージに向かって、プロンプトを作ったり、srefを組み合わせたりっていうふうにしてます。 


自分の中で描きたいテーマについての仕組みがはっきりわかっていない時は、まず下調べから入ります。 


たとえば、「藍を醸す」っていう作品があるんですけれども、これは、何かのドキュメンタリー系の動画で、藍染めのことを見たのがずっと残っていて、あ、これ作品にしたいってポンって思って作りました。ただ、記憶がおぼろげだったので、下調べをして知識を補強しつつイメージを固めました。


藍染めは、タデアイの葉を約100日間発酵させないと、水溶性の染料にならないんですね。で、その発酵している最中に、微生物の働きによって、染料の素になるものが作られる。 


さらにその染料を溶かした水は藍色をしていなくて、黄土色っぽい色なんですけど、それに布なり糸なりを浸したものを空気にさらすことで、化学反応が起こって酸化して、あの美しい藍色が生まれるんです。


その様子を見た時に、私、ものすごい神秘を感じまして。なんて美しい仕組み、構造なんだろうと思ってしまったんですね。で、それを絵にしたいなって思ったんです。


だからこの時描きたい要素っていうのは決まっていて、 まずは、そのタデアイの葉を染料にする微生物の働き。それから、それを水に溶かした時にできるその黄土色の水。 それに布や糸を浸して引き上げた時に、空気に触れて藍色になる。タデアイの葉が美しい藍色に変わっていく過程。その要素が一つの絵の中で感じられるっというのが、最低にして最大の条件なんです。 


この要素が固まったら、AIと壁打ちしながらプロンプトを作ります。プロンプトを作る時のポイントがシンプルに作ることです。大体固まった要素を素直に並べるだけというのが多いです。場合によっては作り込むこともありますが、およそシンプルなものが多いです。


そのプロンプトにmidjourneyで作ったパーソナライズを当てます。midjourneyには、自分の好きなスタイルを作成できる機能があるので、そこで作ったスタイルと過去に作った作品から作成したムードボードというこれもスタイルを固定する機能を組み合わせて作品を作っています。 


私はムードボードをいくつも作っていて、パーソナライズしたものを軸にとムードボードをいくつも掛け合わせて、その世界に合ったものを作っています。 


あと大事なのがstylizeです。これは設定したスタイルをどのくらい作品に適用するかを調整する機能なのですが、これを50～800の間で様子を見ながら、イメージに合ったものが出る位置を見極めて作っています。


軸になっているパーソナライズは固定であるんですけれども、そこにさらに自分で作ったムードボードを結構たくさん掛け合わせて作ってます。 パーソナライズは基本の色味が金と黒と赤なんです。でも最近は青い作品が多いので、そういう時は青い色味を中心にしたムードボードを掛け合わせたりとか、プロンプトの中でその青色の味を調整したりとかして作ってます。 


私が入れたい要素が、ちゃんと美しくまとまって、一枚の絵で感じ取られるようになったものっていうものを、はい採用！っていう形で出しています。 

そんな感じです。何か参考になることありましたでしょうか…。 


midjourneyはすごく奥が深くて、多分今作れないスタイルはないんじゃないかと思うんですよね。 だから、自分の好きなものをとにかく追求していくことで絶対たどり着けると思うので、自分の中にある、好きなもの、いいなと思うものをどんどん外に出して作品にしていくと、いろいろ楽しいんじゃないのかなと思います。 


そんな感じです。


私は今日で、1週間の仕事が終わりです。

これから、今まで投稿してきたこえにっき、名もなき粒子が胸を穿つ、座敷わらし☆雪月花、アカペラに加えて、いろはの自作音楽を置いていきたいと思います。


私は、バンドやったりシンガーソングライターやったりして、細々音楽活動を続けてきました。


ここでは主にsunoで作った曲を置いていきたいと思います。


sunoはV3.5から使っているので、今とはだいぶ音がアレなのもありますが、あまり気にせずミックスマスタリングも気にせず、ただ置いていきたいと思います。

こんばんは、いろはです。


昨日はこえにっきでちょっとディープな話をすることになって、私自身が若干くらってしまってます。 



私自身も、いつもなんでこんなにこえにっきが続いているのかなとほんのり思いながら投稿していたんですけど、何か表現することって、必然的に自分と向き合う作業になってしまうので、 遅かれ早かれお話したんだろうなって思います。 


というわけで、今日はあまり頭が動いておりません。 


普段の私は、更年期障害真っ只中の46歳で、女性ホルモンに翻弄される日々を過ごしております。 幸い、私はあんまりメンタルに出ないんですけれども、あの、私の場合は貧血が辛いです。


あまり、ヘモグロビンの数値が良くないので、毎日息も絶え絶えになりつつビタミンと鉄分を可能な限り摂取しながら生きております。 


「鉄の卵がなかったのよーー！でも、何かきゅうりあったんで送るわ！」


とケラケラ笑いながら言った母のくれた鉄のきゅうりを炊飯時や飲み水に浸す毎日です。フライパンも鉄のものを愛用しています。


そんなマイライフです。 


最近、本当にありがたいことに、作品に対して壁紙にしたいとか、お部屋に飾りたいとか、そういうご意見をいただくことがちょっとずつ増えてきました。 もう本当にありがたいなと思います。


できるだけ、作品をここにただ置くだけじゃなくて、 何かこう、手に届く形にできたらいいなと思ってますし、せっかく購読者の方々が、登録してくださった方々がいらっしゃるので、何らかの形でお返ししていけたらいいなと思ってます。 


まずはフリー壁紙の配布とか、あとは、音声配信でBGMとして使えそうなフリー音源とか、私は和ものが中心になるんですけども、そういうものの配布とか考えてます。 ライブもね、ぼちぼちやりたいな、とか。


私はこのサブスタの環境が、自分にとって居心地が良くて合ってるなと思ってるんです。


すごく大切にしたいと思っているので、これからも自分でできる形でお返しできたらいいなと思ってます。

今日のこえにっきも長いです。


ネタを考えてつらつらAIに向かってしゃべっていたら、私がこえにっきをやるど真ん中のコアを出さざるをえなくなり、長くなりました。


今日お話しするのは、私が中学時代に経験した大人たちの力技による理不尽、そして、それから30年経って訪れた救済についてです。


こえにっきが続いています。 ちゃんと続いていてすごいなって思います。


私は基本的に飽き性です。


本当に本当に本当に好きなことじゃないと続かない人間なので、私はこのこえにっきが本当に好きなんだろうなと思いながら、日々投稿しています。 今これが、やりたくてしかたがないことになっているので。


私は小さい頃、一番時間を忘れて没頭できることというのが、声に出して読み上げることでした。 ものごころついた頃には手当たり次第にそこらにある本を読み上げていました。 小学生の頃には先生を説得して、朗読とかアナウンスのコンテストに出ていました。 


中学生の頃も、このNHKの放送コンテストに出ていたんですけれども、 今、こうして、こえにっきとして声を配信しているということに、何だかその時の私が喜んでるんだろうなっていう気持ちになる時があります。 


というのも、中学生の時にこの放送コンテストで、苦い思い出というか、なんとも言えず不完全燃焼で終わってしまったことがありまして。


私は中学1年生の頃から、そのNHKの放送コンテストに出ていました。1年生の時は端にも棒にも引っかからなかったんですけど、2年生の時には、当時私が住んでいた県の大会で、アナウンスで一応1位にあたる金賞と、朗読で銀賞を取ることができたんです。


個人かつ２年生で2部門で上位に入るというのは、当時私が住んでいた県では珍しいことだったらしくて、新聞の取材なんかも来て私はとても嬉しかったんですけれども、なぜかその賞を取ってから、学校の先生方、特に教頭先生と、その放送の担当の先生の態度が変わり始めたんです。


私は全国大会のテープ審査に進まないといけなくて、音声を録音したテープを提出しなくてはいけませんでした。そこで、顧問の先生が放送室を解放して、そこでちゃんとした録音をしようとなったんですけど、いつまで経っても動いてくれない、そして、どれだけ催促しても返事が濁るんです。 


で、結局期限ギリギリになっても、放送室で録音してくれなかったので、家にあるマイク付きのラジカセで、宅録して、だいぶ雑音も入ったりして、たぶん、今年はもうだめかもなって思っていました。


でも、私はまったくあきらめる気がなくて、最後の年に賭けていました。たぶん、全国の予選は通過できないと思って、テープを送ったその日から次の年に向けての原稿作り、課題図書の読み漁り、そして練習を始めました。予選結果は予想通りでしたが、気力はむしろ充実していました。


でも、その予選落ちが分かった時から、顧問の先生が手のひらを返したように、「お前また同じ結果出せると思ってるのか？まぐれだったんだよ」とやたら言うようになったんです。でも、そう言いながらたまに「来年も出るのか？がんばってんのか？」と様子を探るような声かけをしてくる。明らかに、様子がおかしくなりました。


そして、中学3年生になり、最後の年だなって思って、さらに毎日練習しました。過去の入賞者のテープを擦り切れるまで聴いて研究したり、課題図書のどこを抽出するか手あたり次第に読んで、一番しっくりくるところをひたすら抜き出したり、原稿の題材を探すのに毎日新聞を読みまくったり。


本当に1年間、夢中になって没頭して練習をしたんですよ。 次のコンテストで悔いなく読み上げるんだと。２年生の時よりいい結果を出すんだと。


そうしたら、そのコンテストの申込期日ギリギリになって、途端に顧問側から、出場できないって言われたんです。 理由は、その日は球技大会で、誰も引率する先生がいないから。


そんな変な理由があるのかなと思いました。学校行事より大会を優先する部なんていくらでもあるのに。


納得いかなくて先生を問い詰めたんですけど、なんか奥歯に物が挟まったような言い方で煮え切らなくて、もうこれ話になんないなと思って、校長室に行ったんです、話を聞きに。 


そうしたらそこにいた教頭にものすごい罵られたんです。「お前何しに来たんだ！はあ？！放送？コンテスト？！何言ってんだ？！出られるわけないだろう！」と。なんか知らないけど、すごい剣幕で怒鳴られたんです。 


私はわけがわからなくて。とりあえず、校長先生と何とか話をしようと思ったんですが、その先生も固まって何か立ってるだけの人になってて。で、その時の校長先生は、私が県で1位取った時の先生とはもう変わってて、多分私のこと知らないんだろうなって思ったんです。なので、あえてその人の前で私、前の年の成績を言わなかったんです。 言って、もしガラッと態度が変わったらそれこそ絶望的だったので。 


でも一生懸命頑張ったんですと。1年間ずっと練習し続けてきた、ずっと出続けてきた大会なのに、なんで突然最後の年に急に出場できないとか言われなければならないのかと。言ったんですけれど、とにかくダメの一点張りで、出場なんてさせられるわけがないって言われたんですよ。もうわけがわからなくて。 


職員室の先生方のことも、よく覚えてるんです、あの時の先生方の顔。何とも言えない顔してたんです。多分なんかの事情があるんだろうって思いました。 


で、結局、最後の年は出ることができずに終わってしまったんですけど、あまりに私が嘆き悲しんでいたのでそれを見かねた学年主任の先生が、あんた頑張ってたもんねってこっそり声をかけてくれて。なんだ知ってたんじゃんって思ったんですけど。その先生が、じゃあ、代わりと言っちゃなんだけど、これをやってみる？と言って、英語の弁論大会に出してくれたんです。


そうしたら案の定、市で1位を取りました。でも、それを学校に持ち帰ったとき、やっぱり誰も喜んでいない気がしました。別に誰かに喜んでほしくてやったわけじゃないけど、あの時、自分が理由もわからず夢中になれる、心から愛してやまないものがものすごく傷ついてしまった気がしたんです。


それから私は、あんなに夢中になっていた「読み上げる」ということから離れました。お芝居やったり、音楽やったり、ずっと何かの形で声は出していたけれど、もう、読み上げることはしなくなりました。


でも、つい最近、おそらくこれが真相だったのだろうというところに辿り着きます。


ひょんなことから教育関係にとても詳しい人にこのことをお話する機会があって、あくまで仮定だけどという前提で、当時の私の住んでいた地域や風潮からこのような事情があったのではないかという、とてつもなくもんやりするような大人の事情を聞きました。文化系の扱いにまつわる、いかにも閉鎖的な考え方がそこにありました。


正直、何とも言えない後味の悪さがありましたが、一つだけ救いがあって。


もし、この仮定の通りだったとしたら、あの時、学年主任の先生は、とてつもない覚悟で私を弁論大会に出してくれたはずなんです。それを知って、何か、ずっとどんよりと堆積していたコールタールのような重い感情が一気に流れた気がしました。そして、あまり思い出すこともなくなっていた当時のことが鮮明に蘇って、ぼろぼろに泣きました。


この流れからの、こえにっき開始でした。


ずっと下を向いていた15歳の私が、最近、少しずつ顔を上げてちゃんと泣くんです。泣くことにも疲れて、ただずっと下を向いていただけの子が、またちょっとずつ声を出してちゃんと笑って泣くようになってきているんです。


30年です。顔を上げてくれるようになるまで。


まあ、来世に持ち越す世界線もおそらくあったと思うので、私にしては上出来だと思います。


という、エピソードが隠れているこえにっきです。何より、私が私のためにやっているものなんです。


それを聴いてくださる皆様は私にとって神様です。


どうか、これからも気楽に気軽に聞き流していただければ幸せです。


今回は若干感極まって、声が上ずっちゃったりしたんですけど、こういう回はそんなに多くはないと思うので。

最近こえにっきが長めになってしまってすみません…。
こえにっき始めてから、話したいことが日々どんどん出てくるようになっていて、ああ、なんか、うん、幸せだなって思っています。


昨夜から未明にかけて、私の所属しているクリエイティブコミュニティファンスタというところで、大人たちの本気の遊びが展開されておりまして。で、たまたまそこに私も居合わせてまして、 深夜から日が昇るまで、成熟した大人たちが本気で遊び倒すという狂乱の宴が開催されておりました。


本当に楽しかったです。もう笑って笑って、大汗かくくらい笑ったの本当に久しぶりかもっていうくらい笑いました。 


そのファンスタを運営されているSTACKさんが、クリエイティブ用の神ツールを今開発されているんですが、そのツールの名前がゴリゴリ君というんです。


で、そのゴリゴリ君のテーマという曲をコミュニティのメンバーのさくのすけさんがお作りになって、またそれがもうノリがいいだけではなくて、コミュニティのメンバーだったら誰にでもぶっ刺さるような、 すごく破壊力のあるクオリティの高い一曲を投下されまして。


それにノリノリになった方々が、動画や画像を出してきて、画像は動画職人さんがさっと拾って神速で動画にしてくれて、さらにそれを、STACKさんが画面を共有しながら、 編集をしていくという、ライブセッションのようなMV作りを、ずっと夜中いい年の大人たちが本気になってやってたんですね。


それが本当に楽しくて、いろんな方々のいろんな感性から生み出される数々のゴリラ画像、ゴリラ動画が、STACKさんの手によって、どんどん1曲の中に、綺麗に配置されていくんですよ。 


で、またその配置が、何で適当に置いたはずなのにぴったりはまるの！というようなミラクルを見て、本当にお腹を抱えて笑いました。 


最初はクラブのようなギラギラのステージやストリートでノリノリで踊るゴリラたちが中心だったんですけど、どんどんゴリラが宇宙に行ったり、フリフリのドレス着てきらっきらのミラーボールの中にいたり、目から光線発射したり、高速で御神輿担いだり、最後は静謐な空間でバレリーナになって幕を閉じるという、情報量が多すぎて脳がバグるような内容になりました。


クリエイティブな大人が集まって本気で遊び倒した夜でした。


バンドのライブセッションなんかは、よく若い頃行ってたんですけど、なんかその時の感覚を思い出しました。


クリエイティブな人たちが、たくさん集まって、それぞれの感性を持ち寄って、その場で即興で何かを作っていくという、あの臨場感とスピード感とわけのわからない熱量が、 なんか、すごく若い頃を思い出させるというか、最後の方には本当に若返った感じがしました。


それと同時に、若い頃とは違って、クオリティを追求しつつ、そのクオリティを実現できる、ある程度のレベルまで来ているのを実感して、ああ大人になるっていいなって思いました。 すごく楽しかったです。

先日、新シリーズ「座敷わらし☆雪月花」を始めたのですが、たくさんの方から「かわいい」とのお声をいただき、ほっとしています。


正直、今まで投稿してきたシリーズとは全然系統が違っていたので、ちょっと心配していたんです。やっぱり、SNSは統一感とか大事っていうのが何か刷り込まれていまして。


でも、やりたいことを全部やろうと決めたので。すぐブレそうになるんですけど、ブレないでいようと決めたので。ブレないで出してみたら、自分の想像力なんてちっちゃいなあということを実感した次第です。


見ていただいて、ありがとうございます。


今年の2月末ぐらいから、5月の頭ぐらいまで私はSNSを一旦お休みしたんです。


約2か月半ぐらいですかね。もう本当にSNS一切触らないで、創作もしないっていう期間があったんですけれども。 その期間を終えて、ゴールデンウィークぐらいにまた再開をして、で、その時に自分の中で決めたんです。 


自分の心が喜ぶことをしようと。 


SNSはもう何年もやっていなくて、で去年の12月ぐらいにやっとスレッズをぼちぼち始めて、AIアートとか出してたんですけれども、なんとなくこう数字に流されてしまうというか、 たくさんの人に見てもらいたいな、伸ばしたいなと思うと、なんだか自分の心にちょっとずつ嘘をつきながら作品を作っていたところがあって。


やっぱり私基本的に嘘をつけないので ちょっと病んでしまって、で、それもあって2か月半お休みしたんです。


で、復帰した時、ちょうど時期的にサブスタックが流行り始めた時と重なってて、あ、ここいいかもって飛び込んだ時に、本当に私が作りたいものだけを人目を一切気にせず作ろうと思いました。もう受けを気にしたり、伸びるとわかっているような何か大きな力に迎合するようなことも絶対したくないと思って。 


私は、私がいいと思うものを他の人がどう思うのか全然わからなかったんです。


私の作るものは、パッと見た目の派手さだったりとか、パッと見の分かりやすさ、0.5秒でわかる明確さっていうものはすごく薄いと思ってて、 タイトルも抽象的だし、で、実際何を描いているかというと科学とか理系のマニアックなものだし、この作品を見ていいと思ってくださる方がいるのかって全然自信がなかったんです。


で、それは歌や詩にも言えることで、万人受けするものでは全くないんです。歌に関しては、若い頃歌手を目指していた時に、散々散々否定をされました。もっと普通に歌えとか、その癖はいらないとか、散々言われて。でも、それに従うことができなくて病んでしまった経験があります。


若い頃はそれでも自分がいいと思うものをがむしゃらに打ち出したりしてたんですけど、やっぱり自分の未熟さがそのまま返ってきて傷ついたりして、がむしゃらになること自体にも恐怖がありました。 


でも、なんか、年のせいでしょうかね。いろんなこと経験して、いろんなものが落ちて、落ち着いて、もう46歳です。人生ね、そんなに長くない。たぶん、今まで生きてきた年月と同じ年月は生きられないと思ってて、それだったら、もう時間がないんですよね。46年間うじうじしたままあっという間に過ぎてしまったので。 


だから、あ、もう時間がないと思った時に、人目気にしてる余裕は私にないと。それに、もういい加減自分の好きなもの以外続かないことがわかったんで。どうしてもやりたいと思っていた作風の「名もなき粒子が胸を穿つ」というシリーズを始めたんですけど、 思いのほか、たくさんの方にいいと言っていただけるようになって。


ようやっとAIというツールができて、ああ、ようやっとやりたいことができる。もうこれだけ恵まれている状態で、人目なんて気にしてる余裕ないです。 もうやりたいことをやらないと、そんなに時間は待ってくれない。私に残された時間は長いようで長くない。だったらもう、今の自分全部でやるしかない。 


そう思いながら、毎日作品を上げてます。 なんかそうなったら、もう不思議と作りたいものが次から次へと出てくるようになってしまって、あ、私の中にはまだまだこんなにたくさんいろんな引き出しがあったんだなっていうのを実感してて。最近なんかすごく満たされた気分になることが多いです。

The other day, I started a new series called Zashiki-warashi ☆ Setsugetsuka, and I was relieved to receive so many comments saying that it was cute.


To be honest, it was completely different in style from the series I had posted before, so I was a little worried. Somehow, I had internalized the idea that consistency is important on social media.


But I decided to do everything I want to do. I tend to waver very easily, but I decided not to this time. And when I went ahead and posted it without wavering, I realized once again how small my own imagination can be.

Around the end of February this year until around the beginning of May, I took a break from social media.


About two and a half months, I think. During that time, I truly stayed away from social media completely and did not create anything at all. When that period ended, I started again around Golden Week, and at that time I made a decision for myself.


I would do things that make my heart happy.


I had not really used social media for years, and around last December I finally started using Threads little by little and posting AI art. But somehow I found myself being pulled along by the numbers. The more I wanted more people to see my work and the more I wanted it to grow, the more I found myself creating while telling small lies to my own heart.


And because I am fundamentally not very good at lying, I ended up struggling emotionally. That was one of the reasons I took those two and a half months off.


Then, when I came back, it happened to coincide with the time Substack was starting to gain popularity. When I thought, “This place might be good,” and jumped in, I decided to create only the things I truly wanted to create, without caring at all about what other people thought. I no longer wanted to worry about what would be well received, nor did I want to bend myself to fit some larger force that already knew how to attract attention.


I had absolutely no idea how other people would feel about the things I thought were good.


I felt that the things I create lack flashy visuals, immediate accessibility, or the kind of clarity that can be understood in half a second. The titles are abstract, and what I am actually depicting is often something scientific or rather niche from a STEM perspective. I honestly had no confidence that anyone would look at these works and think they were good.


And the same can be said of my songs and poetry. They are not things that appeal to everyone. As for singing, when I was young and dreaming of becoming a singer, I was criticized over and over again. People told me to sing more normally, or that I did not need those habits and quirks. I heard those things countless times. But I could not bring myself to follow those expectations, and I went through a period where it affected me deeply.


Even so, when I was younger, I threw myself into expressing the things I believed in. But my immaturity often came back to hurt me, and eventually I became afraid of being so reckless and wholehearted in the first place.


Still, maybe it is simply age. I have experienced many things, lost many things, and settled down. I am already forty-six years old. Life is not actually that long. I do not think I will live another forty-six years. And if that is true, then I simply do not have time left. Forty-six years passed in the blink of an eye while I was worrying and hesitating.


So when I realized that, I thought, “I do not have time.” I do not have the luxury of worrying about what other people think. Besides, I have finally learned that I cannot continue doing anything that I do not genuinely love. That is why I started the series Nameless Particles Piercing the Heart, the style of work I had wanted to create all along. And to my surprise, so many people responded positively to it.


At last, a tool called AI appeared, and I found myself thinking, “At last, I can do what I have always wanted to do.” With something this wonderful available to me, I simply do not have time to worry about appearances anymore. I have to do what I want to do. Time is not going to wait for me. The time I have left feels both long and short. So the only thing I can do is give it everything I have right now.


That is what I think about as I continue posting my work every day. And strangely enough, once I started doing that, new ideas began appearing one after another. I have been realizing just how many drawers are still hidden inside me. Lately, I often find myself feeling deeply fulfilled.

雪月花のわらしちゃんが、わいわいのびのび過ごす毎日をお届けしたいと思います。


座敷わらしの学校「麒麟学苑」や、学苑の先生、いろいろなかみさまや幻想生物たちが出てくる予定です。


私は小さい頃から、民話や妖怪といったお話が好きだったのですが、中でも座敷わらしのお話がとても好きで、この子たちのお話を作りたいなとずっと長いことあたためていました。


というわけで、雪月花の三人をご紹介します。

雪の子、いちかちゃん。愛称はいっちゃんです。

月の子、になちゃん。愛称はにーちゃんです。

花の子、みくちゃん。愛称はみくみくちゃんです。

いっちゃんとにーちゃんはおはぎとあずきごはんが大好き。みくみくちゃんはしゃくしゃくした食べものが大好きです。


ぽわっとしているけど、スンってなる時もあるし、毒舌全開になる時もあります。


人の世界をじっと見ているかわいくてちょっぴり怖い女の子たちです。


ちなみにこの作品は、私が所属している、AIクリエイティブコミュニティファンスタの魔王さまSTACKさんの、神チートツール「ゴリゴリくん」で作っています。

Today, I’d like to introduce a new series ✨


Until now, I’ve been sharing my “Nameless Particles Pierce the Heart” series in my morning notes, but I’m moving that series to the evening. From now on, in the mornings, I’ll be sharing a new series: “Zashiki-warashi ☆ Setsugetsuka.”


I hope to share the everyday lives of the Setsugetsuka warashi girls as they spend their days freely, cheerfully, and full of life.


The series will feature the zashiki-warashi school, Kirin Academy, along with the academy’s teachers, various kami, and all kinds of fantastical creatures.


Ever since I was little, I’ve loved stories about folktales and yōkai. Among them, I especially loved stories about zashiki-warashi, and I’ve been quietly nurturing the wish to create stories about these girls for a very long time.


So, let me introduce the three girls of Setsugetsuka.


The snow child, Ichika-chan.
Her nickname is Icchan.

The moon child, Nina-chan.
Her nickname is Nii-chan.

The flower child, Miku-chan.
Her nickname is Miku-Miku-chan.

Icchan and Nii-chan love ohagi and azuki rice. Miku-Miku-chan loves foods with a crisp, crunchy texture.


They may seem soft and floaty, but there are moments when they suddenly become very composed, and other times when their sharp tongues come out in full force.


They are cute, slightly frightening little girls who quietly watch the human world.


I’m so grateful for Substack, where I can release my work so freely, just as I like.


I’ll be sharing this series little by little, at my own pace, so I hope you’ll enjoy it.

あるいは、おはようございます。
いろはです。


今日は、声が出なくなって歌えなくなった私を助けてくれた歌をご紹介します。


これは、話すと絶対泣いてしまうので、というか、今も書きながらびゃーびゃー泣いているので、こえにっきにはできませんでした。ごめんなさい。


私は、若い頃歌手を目指していたんですが、辛い出来事が重なり、きれいじゃない現実に心が折れ続けて、東日本大震災をきっかけに本当に折れてしまいました。


実家が津波を被って、故郷が泥に塗れて壊れて、報道に出ない理不尽もあって、心も身体ももう耐えられないんじゃないかと思うほどすり減ってしまい、ストレスで耳が遠くなり声も徐々に出なくなり歌えなくなりました。


すぐ目の前で話している人の声がずーーーっと遠くに聞こえて何を言っているのか全然わからない。声も、普通の会話は何とかできるけど、歌はとてもじゃないけど歌えない…そんな状態になってしまったんです。


そんな時に、真言宗金剛流御詠歌の門を叩きました。御詠歌というのはいわゆる仏教の讃美歌のような音楽です。20代からよく泊まりに行っていたお宿のおっちゃんが先生だったのがきっかけでした。


おっちゃんが御詠歌の先生だということは知っていたし、おっちゃんも私が音楽をやっていることを知っていたので、折に触れて誘ってくれていたんですが、私にはある宗教に深いトラウマがあって、考えるだけで身体が震えて呼吸がおかしくなる性質があり、宗教そのものを敬遠していたのでやんわり断っていました。


おっちゃんもそれを何となく察していたようで、いつもふんわり誘って、やんわりにっこり「そうかそうか」と言っていました。


でも、この時ばかりは、何か知らないけどおっちゃんのところに行かないといけない、そんな気持ちがどんどん湧いてきて、急き立てられるように連絡を取りました。


時期的にシルバーウィークで、お宿は混んでいるかと思ったんですが、おっちゃんの心遣いで「いたいだけいたらええよ」と、一部屋をずっと開放してくれました。


御歌については、「お前は神だの仏だのいう歌よりは、もっと普遍的なものから入った方がええやろ」と、私を気遣って、私でも心置きなく歌えるような御歌を選んでくれました。


おっちゃんはずっとニコニコしてて。私は声が出なくて不安だったけど、被災地から離れたことと、おっちゃんのニコニコの笑顔と、深い気づかいと、たっぷりの優しさに身体の力が抜けて、おっちゃんの良すぎる歌声がその時はとてもよく聞こえて、少しずつ声が出るようになっていました。


おっちゃんは、すごくほめてくれました。ずっとほめてくれて、間違えてもニコニコと歌を教えてくれました。


「ええ声やなあ。音感がええなあ。ほんま上手やわ」


と。


私は「そんなわけあるかい、全然だめだよ…」と思っていたのですが、おっちゃんは嘘をつけない人なので、何か、「本当にそうなの？私大丈夫なの？」と思いながら、楽しく歌を教えてもらうことができました。


そして、その晩、私は堰をきったようにわんわん泣きました。


それから、少しずつ回復していき、聴力も声も何とか音楽ができるところまで戻りました。


今回上げた三宝和讃は、おっちゃんが作った御詠歌です。


おっちゃんはもうお空に帰ってしまって、前みたいに会うことはできません。


でも、今もずっとニコニコしながら見守ってくれていると思っています。


今回投稿している歌は、今から9年前に全部私の声で多重録音をしました。今回AIで画像を作り、手書きの筆文字を入れて動画にしました。


こうして、どなたかの目に触れる場所に置けることを、とても幸せと思います。

Today, I would like to introduce a song that helped me when I had lost my voice and could no longer sing.


This is something I absolutely cannot talk about without crying. In fact, I am already sobbing as I write this, so I could not make it into a voice diary. I’m sorry.


When I was young, I wanted to become a singer, but many painful things happened one after another. My heart kept breaking against the unclean realities of the world, and after the Great East Japan Earthquake, it truly broke.


My family home was hit by the tsunami, my hometown was covered in mud and destroyed, and there were injustices that never appeared in the news. My heart and body were worn down so badly that I wondered if I could endure anymore. From the stress, my hearing became poor, and little by little, my voice stopped coming out. Eventually, I could no longer sing.


The voices of people speaking right in front of me sounded sooooo far away, and I could not understand what they were saying at all. As for my voice, I could somehow manage ordinary conversation, but singing was completely impossible… That was the state I had fallen into.


At that time, I knocked on the door of the Shingon Buddhist Kongo school of goeika. Goeika is, in a sense, a kind of Buddhist hymn. The reason I encountered it was because the old man who ran an inn I had often stayed at since my twenties was a teacher.


I knew that this old man was a goeika teacher, and he knew that I was involved in music, so he would invite me from time to time. But I had deep trauma connected to a certain religion. Just thinking about it would make my body tremble and my breathing become strange, so I avoided religion itself and always gently declined.


He seemed to sense that somehow, too. He would always invite me softly, and when I declined, he would smile gently and say, “I see, I see.”


But at that time, for some reason I could not explain, I felt that I had to go to him. That feeling kept rising inside me, and as if I were being urged onward, I contacted him.


It was around Silver Week, so I thought the inn might be crowded, but out of his kindness, he kept one room open for me the whole time and said, “You can stay as long as you want.”


As for the song, he chose one with care, saying, “For you, rather than starting with songs about gods or Buddhas, it would be better to begin with something more universal.” He chose a song that even I could sing without feeling burdened.


He smiled the whole time. I was anxious because my voice would not come out, but being away from the disaster area, his smiling face, his deep consideration, and his abundant kindness all helped the tension leave my body. His singing voice, which was far too wonderful, reached me very clearly then, and little by little, my voice began to come out again.


He praised me so much. He kept praising me, and even when I made mistakes, he smiled and taught me how to sing.


“You have such a good voice. You have a good ear. You’re really good.”


That is what he told me.


I thought, “There’s no way. I’m not good at all…” But he was someone who could not tell lies, so somehow, while wondering, “Is that really true? Am I really okay?” I was able to enjoy learning the song from him.


And that night, I cried and cried, as if a dam had burst.


After that, I gradually recovered, and both my hearing and my voice returned enough for me to be able to make music again.

　
The Sanpo Wasan that I have posted this time is a goeika song that he created.


He has already returned to the sky, and I can no longer meet him the way I used to.


But I believe he is still watching over me, smiling as always.


The song I am posting this time was recorded nine years ago, with all the parts layered using only my own voice. This time, I created the images with AI, added handwritten brush lettering, and made it into a video.


I feel very happy that I can now place it somewhere it may reach someone’s eyes.

今日は嘘のような本当のお話をします。


一昨日の夜、作業をしていたら突然部屋の壁に黒茶色に光る羽とカサカサする動きを持つGと呼ばれる生き物が現れました。でも、その時の私は寝不足がたたって思考能力が劇的に落ちておりまして、ま、いっかって放置を決め込んだんです。


そうしたら、Gが突然ぶぁさささ！て羽音を響かせて壁から壁へ移動しまして。これにはさすがに恐怖を覚えて、台所用洗剤とビニール袋もって臨戦態勢に入ったのですよ。


でも、なかなか洗剤が命中しなくて、元気にカサカサ動くので、あーもういーやと。よく考えたらGが出てもおかしくないくらい部屋が埃っぽくなってたなーと、水回りもやばいなーと思って、何か夜中に大掃除を始めたのです。


で、汗だくになって気になるところ一通り掃除し終わって、明け方トイレに行ったら、Gがひっくり返ってお亡くなりになっていました…。


その姿を見て、私、何か、思わず手を合わせてしまいました。


この子が現れてくれたおかげで、ここしばらく全然手をつけられなかった掃除ができたんです。何かすごくありがたい気持ちになって。ありがとう、と手を合わせていました。


おいそれと天敵扱いしてはならない存在だったなと。己の小ささを実感した朝でした。


今日も大変よく生きました。

Today, I’m going to tell you a true story that sounds like a lie.

The night before last, while I was working, a creature known as a “G” appeared suddenly on the wall of my room. In Japanese, “G” is a euphemistic way of referring to a cockroach. It had glossy dark brown wings and moved with a dry, rustling motion. But at that moment, my lack of sleep had taken its toll, and my ability to think had dropped dramatically, so I decided to just leave it alone and thought, well, whatever.

Then, all of a sudden, the G went bwa-sasa-sasa! with the sound of its wings and moved from one wall to another. That was genuinely terrifying, so I grabbed some dish soap and a plastic bag and went into battle mode.

But I couldn’t get the soap to hit it properly, and it kept rustling around energetically, so I thought, ah, whatever, I’m done. And then, when I thought about it, I realized my room had gotten dusty enough that it wouldn’t be strange for a G to appear, and the areas around the water fixtures were pretty bad too, so for some reason, I started a major cleaning session in the middle of the night.

Then, after sweating like crazy and cleaning all the areas that had been bothering me, I went to the bathroom around dawn, and there was the G, flipped over and deceased…

When I saw it like that, I somehow found myself putting my hands together in prayer.

Thanks to this little one appearing, I was finally able to clean, even though I hadn’t been able to get to it at all for a while. I felt strangely grateful. I put my hands together and said, thank you.

I realized it was not a being I should have so casually treated as an enemy. It was a morning when I truly felt the smallness of my own self.

Today, too, we lived very well.

Among all the things I’ve always wanted to try, this is the one I’ve held closest to my heart, so I’m very excited ✨

I wanted to post this song no matter what before the Blue Moon came to an end, so I ended up working through the night.

The song is “Jūni Genmu Kyoku ~ Kogetsu Sōya” from one of my favorite works, The Twelve Kingdoms.

先日、何てことはないつぶやきが何より伸びるという現象を生まれて初めて経験したのですが、その投稿がずっと地味に伸び続けています。

サブスタック楽しいな、と。数字に追われないで創作できて、作品を積み上げていけるのがありがたいな、ということを書いたんですけれども、今統計を確認したら、インプレッションが2306、いいねが160件もついていました…。もう驚きです。読んでくださったみなさま、ありがとうございます！


アルゴリズムや数字に追われながら投稿することに疲れている方がたくさんいるんだと、私だけじゃなかったんだ、ということを実感しています。


サブスタ内を回っていると、そこかしこで自由な風を感じることができて、好きにやろう、やりたいことをやろうという気持ちに自然になれます。なんてありがたい環境だろうと思います。


今までいたSNSでは、人に投稿を届けるためには、ある程度アルゴリズムに従わなければならなかったり、伸びる型？に当てはめないといけない…という圧があったり、好きなことをやっているはずなのに、全然自由じゃなかった気がします。


大きな力に迎合しないと行きたいところに行けない、しかも迎合した場合の形が何か変。まさに社会の縮図だな！って思ってました。


でも、ここでは、クリエイターの作品を積み上げる文化があるし、自分を貫いてらっしゃる方々の記事がたくさん読めて、生々しい人間模様がちゃんと届く気がします。


こんな記事が読みたかった！という記事にたくさん出会えて幸せを噛みしめております。何気ない日常のこととか、日記とか、ふっと目に入った景色とか、かなりニッチでマニアックな専門領域を火力高めに語ってたりとか。


昨日の私のこえにっきなんか、ただの寝言ですよ…眠いです、おつかれさまですしか言ってない。でも、サブスタックではそれでいいんだと思うんです。そういう形にとらわれない自由な世界がそこかしこにある気がして楽しいです。


ちなみに、私は結構読むのが早いので、いいねを連打しているように見えることもたまにあると思うんですけれど、ちゃんと読んでます。


たくさんの感性を摂取できて、心はとっても元気です！


今やっているこえにっきと、イラストの「名もなき粒子が胸を穿つ」シリーズ以外にも、やりたいことがどんどん出てきています。今あたためている案が複数あるんです。それに、購読者の皆さま限定の企画もやりたいです。サブスタックに来てから、どんどんやりたいことができているし、やりたいことが出てきてもいるし、とても元気なんです。


これを３か月、半年、一年積み上げたときのポスト一覧を眺めてみたいな！どんな景色に出会えるのか、今、そのわくわくしている気持ちが私のモチベーションになっています。


これからも、作品をたくさん置いていくので、見に来ていただけると嬉しいです。

The other day, for the first time in my life, I experienced the phenomenon of a completely ordinary little post growing more than anything else, and that post has been quietly continuing to grow ever since.

I wrote something like, Substack is fun. I’m grateful that I can create without being chased by numbers, and that I can keep building up my works here. When I checked the stats just now, it had 2,306 impressions and 160 likes… I’m honestly amazed. Thank you so much to everyone who read it!

It made me realize that there are so many people who are tired of posting while being chased by algorithms and numbers. I really felt, oh, it wasn’t just me.

As I wander around Substack, I can feel a free wind here and there, and I naturally start to feel like, I’ll do what I want. I’ll do the things I want to do. What a truly grateful environment this is.

On the SNS platforms I used before, in order to get posts to reach people, I had to follow the algorithm to some extent, or there was this pressure that I had to fit things into a “format that grows.” Even though I was supposed to be doing what I loved, I feel like I wasn’t free at all.

If you don’t go along with some huge power, you can’t get where you want to go. And even when you do go along with it, the shape it takes is somehow strange. I really thought, this is exactly a miniature version of society!

But here, there is a culture of building up creators’ works, and I can read so many articles by people who are staying true to themselves. I feel like raw, vivid human textures actually reach me here.

I keep encountering articles that make me think, this is the kind of article I wanted to read! And I’m savoring that happiness. Ordinary daily things, diaries, scenery that suddenly caught someone’s eye, or people talking with high firepower about extremely niche and obsessive fields of expertise.

My voice diary yesterday was basically just sleep-talking… All I said was, I’m sleepy, and thank you for your hard work. But on Substack, I think that’s okay. I feel like this free world, unconstrained by rigid forms, exists here and there, and that makes it fun.

By the way, I read fairly quickly, so sometimes it may look like I’m hitting like repeatedly, but I really am reading properly.

Being able to take in so many different sensibilities has made my heart feel very well!

Besides the voice diary I’m doing now and my illustration series, “Nameless Particles Pierce the Heart,” more and more things I want to do keep appearing. I already have several ideas I’m warming up. I also want to do something special for subscribers. Ever since coming to Substack, I’ve been able to keep doing more and more things I want to do, and new things I want to do keep coming up too. I feel very alive and well.

I want to look at the list of posts after building this up for three months, six months, a year! What kind of scenery will I encounter there? Right now, that feeling of excitement is what has become my motivation.

I’ll continue placing many works here, so I would be happy if you came to see them.

Today, too, we lived very, very well.

ここのところ本当に仕事がめちゃめちゃ忙しくて、あの、本当に、眠いです。気を抜くとすぐに持ってかれそうなくらい眠いです。


こんな時になんでこえにっき録ってるんだろうと思います。


たぶん、一度途切れた時に発生する私独自のタイムラグに対する危機感だと思います。いわば自衛手段です。


今日で一週間の仕事が終わりの方も、土日もお勤めされる方も、皆様お疲れ様です。


今日も大変よく生きました。そして一週間本当によく生きたと思います。

It’s Friday night.
I’m sleepy.


I work full-time from Monday to Friday, so Friday night is a special time for me—the moment in the week when I loosen up the most, or rather, when the week’s exhaustion comes all at once, together with a pleasant sense of release.


Work has been incredibly, truly busy lately, and, um, honestly, I’m sleepy. I’m so sleepy that if I let my guard down, I feel like sleep will take me away immediately.


At times like this, I wonder why I’m even recording a voice diary.


I think it’s probably because I feel a sense of danger toward that unique time lag of mine that occurs once I break the flow. In other words, it’s a form of self-defense.


To those whose work week ends today, and to those who will be working on Saturday and Sunday as well, thank you for all your hard work.


We all lived very well today. And I think we really lived through this week so well.


I’m going to sleep plenty.

今日は作風についてお話ししようかと思います。

　
サブスタックに登録してから2週間近く経ったんですけど、その間、ずっと一貫したテーマの作品を上げてきました。和風の雰囲気で自然界の理とか、小さな世界を私なりに描いてきました。


実はこのシリーズ、タイトルがあります。


「名もなき粒子が胸を穿つ」


これが、このシリーズの名前です。


目に見えないほど小さな世界だったり、小さなものが集まって目には見えないほど大きな流れになっていたり、普段意識をしないところに、何かこう、きらめきがあったりとか、循環の美しさを見たりとか、私は小さい頃から結構そういうところがあって、普段はこう、スルーされてしまうような、 ほんの些細な生命…些細ではないんです偉大なんですけどね、そういう循環のようなものをできるだけ両手で掬い上げて大事にしたいなと思っています。


また、私は日本がとても好きなので、そこに私の好きな日本の空気を織り込みたいなと思って作品を作っています。


このスタイルにたどり着くまでには、実は結構時間がかかっています。いろいろなタイプの画像を作りまくって、あーでもないこーでもないとやって、一年くらいかけてたどり着いています。


私は画像生成をほぼmidjourneyでやっているんですけれども、このmidjourneyの中にはスタイルリファレンス、いわゆるsrefと呼ばれるものがあって、絵のスタイルをある程度固定させることができるんですけれども、実は今私が展開しているこのシリーズはスタイルが固定するようでなかなか固定しないタイプで、それをやろうと思っても、暴れ馬のような制御するのが非常に難しいスタイルで、自分が思ったようなイメージどおりのものを出すのがとてもとても難しいです。


なのでいつもそのsrefというものをいくつも重ね合わせてるし毎回微妙にその組み合わせが違っています。仕上げもPhotoshopやcanvaなどのツールを使って行っていますし、筆文字も場合によって使っているので、まあまあ時間をかけて作っています。


でもやっぱり時間をかけたなりに自分のイメージどおりのものが出来た時にはもう本当に本当になんとも言えない達成感が湧き上がってくるので、やっぱりずっと何らかの形でこのシリーズを作っていくんだろうなってなんとなく思ってます。


おかげさまで、本当にたくさんの方に見ていただくことができていて、サブスタックに来て良かったなって思ってます。


こういうテイストの作品をずっと作りたいなって思いながら、なかなか形にならなかったんですけれども、 一旦サブスタックに来てよしこのシリーズやってみようって腹を決めてから、ずっとこのテーマで作り続けることができているので、本当に見てくださる方や、このサブスタックという場所に感謝をしています。

Today, I thought I would talk a little about my artistic style.


It has been almost two weeks since I joined Substack, and during that time I have continued posting works centered around a consistent theme.
With a Japanese atmosphere, I have been depicting the principles of the natural world and tiny hidden worlds in my own way.


Actually, this series has a title.


“Nameless Particles Pierce the Heart”


That is the name of this series.


I have always been drawn to things like worlds so small they are almost invisible,
or tiny things gathering together into vast currents too large to truly see.
In places people normally never pay attention to, I sometimes sense a quiet shimmer, or the beauty of circulation and connection.


Ever since I was little, I have been deeply fascinated by those kinds of things.
The tiny forms of life that people would normally pass by without noticing… though “tiny” is not really the right word. They are magnificent, truly.


I want to gently scoop up those kinds of circulations with both hands, and treasure them as carefully as I can.


I also love Japan very deeply, so I create my works while trying to weave into them the atmosphere of Japan that I love.


It actually took me quite a long time to arrive at this style.
I created countless different kinds of images, going back and forth thinking “maybe this” and “maybe not this,” and it took me about a year to finally reach where I am now.


I create my images mostly with Midjourney, and within Midjourney there is something called a style reference, often referred to as “sref,” which allows you to stabilize the style of an image to a certain degree.


However, the series I’m currently creating has a style that appears stable, yet somehow never fully settles into place.
Even when I try to control it, it behaves like a wild horse, extremely difficult to tame, and it is very, very hard to create something that perfectly matches the image I have in my mind.


So I always layer multiple srefs together, and the combinations are slightly different every single time.
I also do the finishing work using tools like Photoshop and Canva, and depending on the piece, I incorporate hand-brushed calligraphy as well, so each work takes quite a lot of time to create.


But when something finally turns out exactly the way I imagined after putting that much time into it, an indescribable sense of accomplishment rises up inside me.


So somehow, I feel that I will probably continue creating this series in one form or another for a very long time.


Thankfully, so many people have been viewing my work, and it truly makes me feel glad that I came to Substack.


For a very long time, I wanted to create works with this kind of atmosphere, but somehow I could never quite bring them fully into form.
But once I came to Substack and finally decided, “Alright, I’m going to commit to this series,” I’ve been able to continue creating within this theme ever since.


So I truly feel grateful both to the people who take the time to look at my work, and to this place called Substack.

今日は、声の倍音の話です。


昨日のこえにっきなんですけれども、実は一旦上げたものを取り下げて、再度原稿を構成し直して、録り直しを行いました。 

 
これはなぜかというと、最初に録ったものを聴いて、あ、この私ちょっとおかしいなって思ったんです。自分で自分の状態が。 

 
私は自分の状態を、声の倍音で見る時があります。


いろいろ過敏な体質でして、自分でも気がつかないうちに脳が誤作動を起こして、変なテンションになっているのに自分で気が付かない、ということも起こるポンコツなのです（泣笑）


これで、他人様に迷惑をかけること数知れず…。恥の多い人生を生きておりまして。なので、客観的に自分を見るための指標というものを少しずつ構築していて、声の倍音はその一つになります。

 
状態によって声が高すぎたりとか、普段自分の声の中に入っている低音が消えたりしている時があるんです。 で、そういう時は、大抵、ちょっと地に足つかなくなっちゃってるというか、気が上に上がっちゃってる状態だと、自分では思ってて、で、だんだん落ち着いてくると、その声の中に少しずつ低音が戻ってきてニュートラルなところに着地する。

 
着地できなさそうな時は意図的に低い声を出すと、少しずつ落ち着くんです。自分の丹田に効かせるように低音を出して、状態見ながらニュートラルな位置に声を持っていきます。そうすることで幾分か脳のコントロールができるんですね。あ、あくまで私は、です。他の方は正直わからないです。
  

テンションがぐーっと上がっちゃったりとか、なんかちょっと常軌を逸したような状態になってしまってる時って、普段のこのニュートラルな声の倍音とは構造が変わるんですよね。構造というか構成が。 
  

昨日はあまりにも一番最初に録ったものが倍音が高くなりすぎてて低音がだいぶ消えちゃってて、で、マイクのゲインを超えるような高さや音量もあって、ああ、これはちょっと何かおかしいなと思ったんです。 なので、一旦引いて、クールダウンをしてから、もう一回原稿を構成して、録り直しました。


ですので、いつもお聴きくださっている方には違和感を覚える方もいたかもしれません。意図的に声をニュートラルに持っていってしゃべっているので、正直うまく声も出ていないし、口も動いていません。
  

なかなか難しいところではあるんですけれども、ゆっくりと落ち着いた口の動かし方ができなくなっちゃってたり、 声がどんどん高くなってしまっている時、もしくは声が極端に低くなっている時というのは、私にとってはアラートなんです。 

  
昨日は、録ったものを聴いて3回目くらいで、はっ、と私おかしい！そう気づきました。変なテンション、内容も実際に登録したものの３倍くらいの長さで読み手を意識していないかなり勝手なものになっていて、声が上ずっているのに変に楽しそうになってて、明らかにおかしかったので、クールダウンをしました。


いやあ、まさかサブスタックでこの話をすることになるとは…というかしようと思うなんて。私、心開いてますね。これぞ、サブスタックマジックですね…。

  
こういう感じで、私は自分がいろいろな要因で簡単にバグるポンコツということを知っているんです。なので、なんかちょっと今おかしいなっていう風に気づくためのサインを、いくつか自分の中で着地させています。 

  
これは私独自のものなので、再現性があるかはわからないです。でも、周りを見ていても、声って本当にたくさんの成分がより合わさっていて、声の成分と構成と人となりを分析すると、私にとっては結構たくさん見えることがあります。


一見澄んだきれいな音なんだけれども、聴きとりにくいんだけど確実にざらっとしたような、トゲっとしたような、ギザギザっとしたような音が何かところどころにちょっちょっと混ざってたりとか…ガラガラ声とは違う変なざらつきが入っていたりとか、あとは、すっごい厳格でめちゃめちゃ怖い低音の声なんだけど、その中にてへぺろってやってそうなお茶目な音が入っていたりとか、私は結構声を大事に聴いている気がします。


ですが、あくまで！あくまで、私の独自の見解ですし、自分なりの声の分析結果を自分以外のどなたかに伝えるようなことはまずないです。私がこの世界を少しでも生きやすく歩けるように身に着けた自衛手段…というか、他人様に迷惑をかけないための苦肉の策です。


そうやって、日々、あれこれ対策しながら生きております。

Today, I’d like to talk about vocal overtones.

About yesterday’s voice diary from May 26th — I actually took down the version I had uploaded once, restructured the script again, and re-recorded it.

The reason was that when I listened back to the first recording, I thought, “Ah… something seems a little off with me.” I noticed my own condition.

Sometimes I observe my own state through the overtones in my voice.

I’m sensitive in various ways, and sometimes my brain misfires without me even realizing it, and I end up in a strange state of excitement without noticing it myself. I’m a bit of a clumsy machine like that (laugh-cry).

Because of that, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve inconvenienced other people… I’ve lived quite an embarrassing life in that sense. So little by little, I’ve built up indicators to observe myself more objectively, and vocal overtones are one of them.

Depending on my condition, sometimes my voice becomes too high, or the lower tones that are usually present disappear. When that happens, I usually think I’ve become a little disconnected from the ground — like my energy has risen upward too much. Then, as I gradually calm down, the lower tones slowly return into my voice, and I settle back into a neutral place.

When it feels like I can’t settle naturally, intentionally lowering my voice helps me calm down little by little. I produce lower tones as if resonating into my lower abdomen, check my condition, and guide my voice back toward a neutral position. By doing that, I can control my brain to some extent. Ah — but this is only for me. I honestly don’t know whether this applies to anyone else.

When my excitement rises sharply, or when I enter a state that feels a little outside of normal, the structure of my voice’s overtones changes compared to my usual neutral voice. Structure… or maybe composition is a better word.

Yesterday, the very first recording had become far too overtone-heavy, and the lower tones had mostly disappeared. There were even moments where the pitch and volume seemed to exceed what the microphone gain should reasonably handle, and I thought, “Ah… something’s not right here.” So I stepped back, cooled down, reconstructed the script, and recorded it again.

So for those of you who listen regularly, some of you may have felt a sense of difference. I intentionally brought my voice back toward neutral while speaking, so honestly my voice wasn’t coming out that well, and my mouth wasn’t moving naturally either.

It’s difficult to explain, but when I lose the ability to move my mouth slowly and calmly, when my voice keeps getting higher and higher, or when it becomes extremely low — those are alerts for me.

Yesterday, it was around the third listen that I suddenly realized — “Wait, something’s wrong with me!” I was in a strange state of excitement, and the content had become nearly three times longer than the version I actually published. It had turned into something quite self-indulgent and not considerate of the listener. My voice was strained upward, yet somehow sounded oddly cheerful at the same time. It was clearly unusual, so I cooled myself down.

Wow… I never imagined I’d talk about something like this on Substack. I guess I’m really opening up. This is Substack magic…

Like this, I know that I’m someone who can glitch pretty easily for various reasons. So I’ve settled on several signs within myself that help me notice when I think, “Ah… something feels a little off right now.”

This is something unique to me, so I don’t know whether it’s reproducible. But even when I observe people around me, voices really seem to be made up of so many blended elements, and when I analyze the components, composition, and character reflected in a voice, I end up seeing quite a lot.

Sometimes a voice sounds clear and beautiful at first, but if you listen carefully, there are tiny rough textures mixed in here and there — something scratchy, sharp, uneven… not quite hoarseness, but a strange kind of grain hidden underneath. Other times, there’s a very strict, intimidating low voice, but somewhere inside it there’s a playful little sound that feels like it’s sticking its tongue out and going “teehee.” I think I listen to voices very carefully.

But — and I really mean this — this is only my own personal interpretation, and I would almost never tell anyone else my own analysis of their voice. This is a self-protection method I developed so I can move through this world a little more comfortably… or rather, a desperate measure to avoid causing trouble for other people.

And so, day by day, I live while trying different ways to take care of myself.

昨日のこえとうたにっきでアカペラ動画を置いたのですが、たくさんの方に聴いていただけてとっても嬉しいです。
どきどきだったんですけど、一歩踏みだしてよかったです。
本当にありがとうございます！

　
最近は、話の骨格を決めて、思いついたことを話すということが楽しくなってきました。今日もそのスタイルで行こうと思います。


ずっとこえにっきで何を話そうかなって思ってたんですけど、基本的にサブスタックで記事を読んでて、ああ、いいな、素敵だなって思う記事に共通点があったので、お話ししたいと思います。


私は、もう本当に不器用でも不格好でも自分の言葉で、ああ生の言葉を書いてるんだろうなっていう記事にすごく心が惹かれます。


私も最初の頃は原稿をAIに添削してもらったりしてたんですけど、 もうだんだんこんなん私じゃない!とか、思うことが出てきて、もうAIに向かって、あんたに私の何がわかんねん！みたいな。文句言いたくなるようなことも出てきたり。


そういう時は、ああ、ダメダメ、私は大人の女なんだから、大人の女はこんなことで取り乱したりしないとか言いながら、別の私が何かっこつけんとんねんってツッコミ入れたりして、一人劇場を展開してたんですけど、やっぱり自分の言葉が一番じゃないかなって思います。 


不器用でも不格好でも文法無視してても、なんだっていいと思います。 自分から湧き出てきたもの素直な形って、みんな美しいなって。それぞれの美しさがあるなと思うし、それは何かと比べるものでも、上下や優劣といった物差しで測るようなものとは全然次元の違うもので、それぞれに尊さがあると思うので、これからもこういう形で私のそのまんま出していけたらいいなと思います。


なんかここのサブスタックは、そのまんま置くことにちゃんと価値が生じる場所だなって感じてるので、のびのび行きたいなと思ってます。 


今日もとてもよく生きました。

Yesterday, I posted an a cappella video in my voice and song diary, and I’m so happy that so many people listened to it. I was really nervous, but I’m glad I took that step forward. Thank you so much.

Lately, I’ve been enjoying deciding on the general structure of what I want to talk about, and then speaking about whatever comes to mind. I think I’ll go with that style again today.

I had been wondering what I should talk about in my voice diary, but as I was reading articles on Substack, I noticed that the articles I find myself thinking, “Ah, this is lovely, this is wonderful,” all seem to have something in common. So I’d like to talk about that today.

I’m really drawn to articles where I can feel that someone is writing in their own words, even if those words are awkward or imperfect — words that feel truly alive.

At first, I also had AI proofread my drafts for me, but little by little, I started thinking, “This isn’t me at all!” And sometimes I found myself wanting to complain to the AI like, “What do you even know about me?”

When that happened, I would tell myself, “No, no, I’m a grown woman. A grown woman doesn’t get upset over something like this,” while another version of me would cut in and say, “Who are you trying to act all cool for?” And so I ended up putting on a little one-person drama. But in the end, I really do think my own words are the best.

Even if they’re awkward, even if they’re imperfect, even if they ignore grammar, I think that’s completely fine. The honest shape of something that wells up from within a person is beautiful. Everyone has their own kind of beauty. And I don’t think it’s something to be compared, or something that can be measured by standards like higher or lower, better or worse. It exists on a completely different plane, and each one has its own preciousness. So I hope I can keep putting myself out there just as I am, in this kind of way.

Somehow, I feel that Substack is a place where value is properly created by simply placing things there as they are, so I want to keep going freely and expansively.

I lived very well today, too.

いろはです。


今日はこえとうたにっきになります。 昔撮ったものになるんですけれども、アカペラの動画をこの記事の下に置いております。サンサーラという曲を自宅で録音したものです。 


私がそもそもAIアートを始めたのはなぜかというと、歌をちゃんとやりたいということが理由でした。 


もともと若い頃歌い手を目指していた時期があって、必死にバンドやったり、あちこちのイベントに顔出したり出演したりいろいろやっていたんですけれど、まあ、当時の某大型掲示板とか某動画サイトでまあまあ何か書かれてたり、ストーカーみたいな、ね、あったり、心霊現象に悩まされたり、表も裏も見たくないものまあまあ見ちゃったりして、ぼろぼろになっちゃったんですね。


で、そっちが何とかなってきたと思ったら、今度は東日本大震災で実家が津波を被ってしまって、そこからしばらくして難治性の病気になって、40代で17年続けた職を失ってしまって、お金も無くなって、独身ですし誰も頼れなくて在宅の仕事探して52件受けて50件落ちるという貴重な経験をしたりしまして、音楽に対する心が何度も折れてバキバキになっちゃったんですね。


で、まあ結局、今46歳と7か月なんですけど、この歳になってsunoAIに出会ってしまいまして。


今まで自分の中にこうイメージとして漠然とあった音楽がちゃんと作れるようになったことに感動したんです。


それまでも自分で作詞作曲をして、ライブで演奏したりというのはあったんですけど、何か違うな…という感覚があって。演奏してくれているユニットのメンバーは本当にみんなすごくいい音を出す人たちだったんですけど、私の中でこういう音楽がやりたいっていうイメージはずっとあったんですけど、形にならなかったんですよ。


それがAIを使って、自分の書いた歌詞に、自分のイメージする要素をてんこ盛りにぎゅうぎゅうに詰めて出てきたものを聴いた時に、ああ、やっと形になったってなんか思ったんです。


で、それをちゃんとmvにしたいなって思ったのが、そもそもAIアートを始めたきっかけでした。 でも本当に残念ながら、私は音楽作れるし、画像も作れるし、何なら歌も歌えるし、録音機材も古いけどあるんですよ、どうしても動画が苦手。なんか動画が作れないんですよね。 それでもう止まっちゃってて、ああもうこれどうしたらいいんだろうって、今実はすごい行き詰まってるんですよ。


なので、もういいやって思って、うん、歌おうって思いまして。 とりあえず歌ってみようか、みたいな感じで。あのうんと、一応レコーディングできる環境はうちにあるんですけれども、しばらくは今日上げるアカピｒ…何アカピラって（笑）キャタピラみたいな（笑）アカペラで、もうとにかく今の歌いたい気持ちをなんか色々ぶつけてみようかな、って思ってます。ちなみに今日上げる動画は、ちょうど病気になって職を失った頃の私が歌っています。


サブスタックに出会えたのも、これも一つの僥倖だと思うので、ここに私のこのいろいろ溜まっているものを置いていきます。よかったら聞いてください。

Today’s post is a voice and song diary. The recording I’m sharing today is an older one, but I have placed an a cappella video below this article. It is a home recording of a song called Samsara.


The reason I originally started creating AI art was because I wanted to pursue music properly.


When I was younger, there was a period when I wanted to become a singer. I threw myself into bands, went to and performed at various events, and tried many different things. But at the time, things were written about me on certain large online forums and video sites. There were also experiences that felt almost like stalking, unsettling things I struggled with, and I ended up seeing more than I wanted to of both the visible and hidden sides of that world. Eventually, I was completely worn down.


Then, just as I felt that things were finally beginning to settle, the Great East Japan Earthquake happened, and my family home was hit by the tsunami. Some time after that, I developed a difficult chronic illness. In my forties, I lost the profession I had continued for seventeen years, lost financial stability, and as a single person with no one to rely on, I searched for remote work and had the memorable experience of applying to fifty-two jobs and being rejected by fifty of them. My heart for music was broken again and again, until it felt shattered.


And then, at the age of 46 years and 7 months, I encountered Suno AI.


I was deeply moved by the fact that the music that had only existed vaguely inside me as an image could finally be made into something real.


Before that, I had written lyrics and composed songs myself, and had performed them live. But there was always a feeling that something was not quite right. The members of the unit who played with me were all truly wonderful musicians with beautiful sound, but the image of the music I wanted to make had always remained inside me without ever fully taking shape.


When I used AI, I packed the lyrics I had written with as many of the elements I imagined as I could, and when I listened to what came out, I felt, “Ah, it finally took shape.”


Wanting to turn that into a proper music video was the original reason I started making AI art. Unfortunately, although I can make music, create images, sing, and even have recording equipment at home, old as it may be, video is the one thing I struggle with. For some reason, I just cannot make videos. That is where everything has come to a stop, and to be honest, I feel very stuck right now.


So I decided, “Fine, then I’ll sing.” For now, I thought I would simply try singing. I do have a recording setup at home, but for a while, I think I will start with a cappella recordings like the one I am posting today, and pour whatever feelings I have into singing. Incidentally, the video I am sharing today is of me singing around the time when I became ill and lost my job.


Finding Substack also feels like a kind of unexpected good fortune. So I will place here all the things that have been accumulating inside me. If you would like, please listen.
